Have you heard of Profhilo®?
I'll admit, I only knew about Profhilo® very recently, ironically from the boyfriend 😅
Profhilo®, also known as skin rejuvenation treatment for tired, ageing skin, is different from all other typical skin fillers and skin boosters as it acts via a new process: bio-remodelling of the collagen and elastin structures in the skin!
To me I understand it like a 10-20 times better than skin-boosters that is a 100% pure HA-based, chemical stabiliser-free product - sounds SO SO GOOD! 🤗
I really wanted glowing skin with firming/tightening effect and enhanced skin hydration with no downtime.
That said, I walked into the clinic having the mindset of being extremely realistic about my exceptions - everyone should, no matter what procedure you're looking to do.

First things first : WHY DO WE NEED PROFHILO®?
The human skin is divided into three layers: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis.
Support structures like collagen and elastin, which gives the skin structure and helps maintain elasticity and firmness, are found in the dermis layer.
As we age, the natural production of collagen and elastin slows down, and the amount of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in our skin decreases.
This can cause the skin to lose elasticity and sag, creating the wrinkly appearance typically associated with old age.
How does Profhilo®work?
Profhilo® achieves bio-remodelling of the skin in three main ways.

Okay moving on to my entire profile experience @ Clifford Clinic
When I reached Clifford Clinic, the nurses waste no time in helping me apply numbing cream as it will take 30mins to 1 hour for the numbing cream to take effect so the Profhilo injection will be more tolerable!
I was quickly given a "temporary mask" while having the numbing cream on as I sat at the waiting lounge to wait for the numbing effect to happen - love that little thought considered from the nurses that the numbing cream might " dirty" my own mask. 😷
Clifford Clinic ALWAYS ensures that they have a clean and safe environment for all their patients and staffs alike so that we can all still enjoy aesthetic treatments/procedures comfortably and harmlessly.

I recalled Dr Gerard cracking a joke - he ALWAYS makes his patients feel so comfortable prior/during procedures and treatments and sometimes even chatting with us to make us feel less scared/worried during the entire process to help take our nerves off a little.
And I love how he meticulous he is, always doing an amazing job! 😍
Anyway this is how it works!
Profhilo® comes in individual pre-filled 2ml syringes.
Unlike traditional injection techniques, 0.2ml of Profhilo® is carefully injected into several specifically-selected Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs) on each side of the patient’s face.
By administering Profhilo® through only 10 key points on the face, this minimizes risks to blood vessels and nerves while maximising efficacy through diffusion.
If you all see the little tiny bumps/areas - that's the selected Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs) - Profhilo® will then "disperse" to my entire face through these points - doing it's job to bio-remodel my entire face.
SO COOL RIGHT!
Hahaha I know it looks painful, but it's not - there's numbing cream remember?
And I look stiff because I'm trying so hard not to move so I will not inconvenient the doctor hahaha

IMO Dr Gerard Ee is one of the gentlest doctor I've ever experienced for any sort of treatments I've done so far - pain is usually minimal to none!
To be honest, I was more worried about the swelling after Profhilo because my skin can get so sensitive and reactive at times.
But the very next day.....
Swelling : NONE
Itching : NONE
Skin reactions : NONE
I WAS SO FRIGGIN SURPRISED TBH
Profhilo® has almost no visible side effects as the 100% pure HA used is completely harmless!
However, some people may experience mild redness and soreness after the treatment, but these will usually subside in a few hours.
